Development of the Health Literacy Hub
Client: Western Sydney Local Health District
Project duration: 9 months
Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) and the Health Literacy Lab at The University of Sydney partnered to build capability in health literacy research, training, and education via a Health Literacy Hub (website) to serve the needs of a fast growing and diverse community.
WSLHD engaged ZEST to develop an online health literacy knowledge hub underpinned by best practice eHealth literacy principles. ZEST conducted a rapid evidence review to identify key design elements, developed the site architecture and designed the look and feel using our in-house design studio and digital teams. As part of this process, ZEST also undertook user experience and user acceptance testing.
The website uses intuitive layouts, plain language, and simplified content, structured around the users’ needs.
